KOMAS Bangsa Malaysia Education Series: Training on Education for Non-Discrimination

PUSAT KOMUNIKASI MASYARAKAT

Invites all to participate in Training on Education for Non-Discrimination

Malaysian social fabric has always been hailed as multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and a whole host of multi-s. However a range of ill-planned policies and events put into place by race based politics and cemented by years of race based governance has caused wide rips in that colourful fabric. It was these observations that drove KOMAS to launch its Non-discrimination of ethnicity campaign in 2005. We firmly believe that empowering people to further empower those around them is the best means of darning the rips caused by discrimination.

The recent elections have revealed the Malaysians realisation of this fact and therefore rejection of race based politics. Hence now more than ever awareness raising is vital and very much sought. So come join in this initiative to make the Malaysia a safer space and discover your society through yourself.

OBJECTIVES:
· To raise awareness on the effects of discriminations of race and other related discrimination amongst the general public
· To provide an education tool for local community workers, leaders & grassroot communities due to racist and discriminatory policies and practices that exist and have been implemented.
