POSITION: LEGAL SERVICES OFFICER
The Legal Services Officer will ensure the smooth running of the SIS Legal
Clinic and assist the Advocacy, Legal Services and Reform Unit Senior
Manager in the advocacy and policy reform work of SIS. This includes:
· Providing legal advisory services to SIS clients
· Supervising the chambering students of the SIS Legal Clinic
· Assisting in law and policy reform work as necessary
Requirements:
· Law degree, minimum 2 years experience
· Those without law degrees, but with significant experience in Syariah law
are encouraged to apply.
· Commitment to human rights and gender equality
· Knowledge of Islamic Family Law, experience in court and counseling
skills added advantage
