POSITION: Legal Services Officer

The Legal Services Officer will ensure the smooth running of the SIS Legal Clinic and assist the Advocacy, Legal Services and Reform Unit Senior Manager in the advocacy and policy reform work of SIS. This includes:

· Providing legal advisory services to SIS clients
· Supervising the chambering students of the SIS Legal Clinic
· Assisting in law and policy reform work as necessary

Requirements:
· Law degree, minimum 2 years experience
· Those without law degrees, but with significant experience in Syariah law are encouraged to apply.
· Commitment to human rights and gender equality
· Knowledge of Islamic Family Law, experience in court and counseling skills added advantage

POSITION: Programme Assistant (Research and Publications)

Programme Assistant
1. Core Responsibilities:
a.. Assist in the administration of Research and Publications Unit
b.. Assist in the administration of SIS operations

2. Publications
· Monitor publications timeline
· Assist in promotion and distribution activities
· Maintain the appointment schedule

3. Research
· Assist the research team eg. Meeting preparation, filing, document sourcing

Requirements:
a.. SPM
b.. Computer Literacy skills
c.. Good interpersonal communication and writing skills
Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply

Excellent writing and communications skills
Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
Fair knowledge in information management
