KOMAS, a community communication center supporting grassroots and mariginalised comunities and promoting human rights through popular communications, is currently looking for young, creative and dynamic Malaysians to join our team.
KOMAS was established more than thirteen years ago and is known for organising creative media and human rights themed workshops. We are also the organiser of the freedomfilmfest, an anual competition and screening of social films and documentaries.
We have 2 available positions:
Studio Coordinator
Who will be in charge of video productions and audio visual resources
Must be able to do basic video shooting and editing and manage the studio and equipment
Have passion to produce creative and exciting documentaries and other audio visual resource materials for community and public education.
Program Officer
Who will the responsible for organising and coordinating workshops and events.
Must be a good communicator, love meeting and working with people from all levels of society.
Must be interested in Malaysian social and contemporary issues.
Able to work independently, flexible hours and have own mode of transport if possible.
