HOUSING FOR THE POOR - MERDEKA 50:44
Central Market Annexe, KL

50 years of MERDEKA, but what has happened to the urban poor in Malaysia? Come and participate in events and listen to stories by members of the urban poor communities in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. This is organised by PERMAS or the “Community Residents’ Association”, a membership-based organization working especially with the urban poor in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor state.

For the past 50 years of MERDEKA, many Malaysians have remained without permanent and adequate homes, struggling with the rising cost of living and battling uncaring local authorities who continue to harass and break their homes arbitrarily.

Come and learn about the Malaysians who really help build our nation but have become “forgotten heroes”. Today about 10-15% of the total population of Kuala Lumpur is still living in squatter houses, longhouses and temporary low cost flats!

As part of the 50:44 MERDEKA celebrations hosted by the Malaysian NGOs in Pasar Seni in Kuala Lumpur from 6-16^th September 2007, PERMAS would like to announce to the public and invite members of the press to participate in the line up of activities:

    Dear sir,
i don’t mean clean drain ,healthy drains that has more goodness then clean ones. ministers say that they are busy but spending more then they earn , excusing themselves during offical function ……..
Aderencence of order to do the job during schedule time is important for civil servants who are not even there to answer of queries from the public. sweet talking, postponing.frustrated and dissapointed ,when progress towards goals are blocked by the irresponsible people and practising taking only the information from the public and not helping them to put an end to the grieviences.
I salute to some steady concious civil servants who share credit for their services and also admitting faults in their services. and I.S.O. has helped us to prepare us to do the job more proffessionally. people learn from malaysia, and also know how liberale are our laws to foreighers. Encouraging more super frauds and international crooks here.
Recent spade of killings among interlectuals by some crooked people may frightned of some but the stakes are high and they risk their lifes to get rich quick putting government money in delima.
Recent government moves to allow petty theives to be freed is a most welcomming thing.the police should keep tracks on this subjects and help them to be of concious things they do. petty theives are more kinder and helpfull at times not the one who are on drugs.
Public also should er some aids, but due to jobs more malaysians are getting poorer because of prize increase. My prayer to a good muslim is to follow and read good books and understand other religions. Islam is truly a good reliigion and a person cannot bury his anncessatary roots of his forefathers in a day. If you convert a

: GO placidly amid noise and haste and remember what peace may be in silence. As far as possible , without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly listen to others opinion, even a dull and ignorant they to have their stories to be heard. Avoid loud and aggressive persons they are hindrance of solutions in our spirit.take advise and annalyse. nuture your spirit in strength should misfortunes fall. Do not distress in imaginings. many fears are born of fratigue and lonliness. Beyond a wholesome disipline, be gentle and learn to understand the obstacles. You are a child of the universe and you have the right to be here. As whether or not clear to you, no doubt the universe is still beyond understanding by the ordinary minds, be peace with god whatever you conceive in himto be, and whatever your labours and aspirations you have in this noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its shame, drudry, and broken dreams .It is still a beautifull world. Be carefull strive to be happy….1692.
