Dr Syed Hussin Ali and Dr Lim Teck Ghee have initiated a petition for the revocation of “Surat Aku Janji” which has curbed the academic freedom and political and civil liberties for academics in public universities. This meaningful move however has received support from so far only 23 groups. (list below).
Freedoms of expression, assembly and association are the fundamental part of clean, free and fair elections. The best brains in our society are however denied these freedoms by the absurd “Surat Aku Janji”.
In the spirit for clean, free and fair elections we have been struggling for, I plead for your endorsement of this course, latest by next Monday morning (July 23) to Dr Lim at tglim1@gmail.com if your group is not one of the groups below:
