The Joint Action Group is organising a gathering at the office of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, KL. This is to make a public protest against the recent MPs sexist remarks made in conjunction to the roof leak in Parliament. Such behaviour has gone on for too long and it is time that we make a strong protest to end all discriminatory behaviour of elected MPs/representatives . The details are as follows:

JAG will be issuing a statement at this gathering and we invite civil society and citizens to say your piece at this event. We are also trying to arrange for a possible meeting with the Minister or her representative on 15 May 2007. This can only be confirmed on Monday, 14 May and we hope that a representative from your organization will be able to attend the meeting with JAG.
