Web Video Delivery Workshop

“Broadcast Yourself”. That’s the tag line of Youtube.com, a website that allows people to upload and share their videos with the rest of the world via the Internet. As the video camera is getting more popular and ownership of camera phones is increasing, the technology now is simple enough for people not to have to rely on the professionals to share their video content.

This workshop is to help those who are already shooting videos and putting them on CD or DVD but lack the knowledge to deliver them online. We would like help to guide you to move another step forward towards being your own online media.

Who should attend?

Staff of independent media organisations and civil society groups who are involved in video documentation and communication work are encouraged to apply.


What will you learn?

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

- Convert your videos to a Web-friendly format
- Host your videos online for free
- Make your own brand of podcast
- Edit a mobile video online

Applicants shall provide the following information:
1. Full name according to passport
2. Gender
3. Passport number
4. Name of organisation
5. Position in organisation
6. Contact information e.g. address, tel, fax, email and web site.
7. A brief paragraph stating the reason for application.

Financial Support

We would like to keep this workshop efficient. Therefore, we will only select a maximum of 20 participants. We will cover the cost of transportation to attend this workshop, and also the accommodation and food during the workshop period for all selected participants.
