Got a story to tell the world but just don’t know how or where to do it?
Put that idea for a social film on paper and send it to us now!
KOMAS (Pusat Komunikasi Masyarakat), a non-government organization is organizing the FreedomFilmFest (FFF2007) and is on the look-out for daring human rights stories to be made into film. This year we are jumping onto the “Merdeka” bandwagon by featuring the theme of Malaysia’s 50th year of Independence. We dare you to unearth stories of the social reality of Malaysia after 50 years of Independence!
The 3 best film proposals will be awarded a RM5,000 grant each and will be supported by KOMAS to make your film ideas come to life! Winners will also receive the Justin Louis Award and the completed films will premiere at the annual FreedomFilmFest2007 screenings with other international Human Rights films in September & October 2007 in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor.
For more information about the competition and upcoming FFF2007 activities, check out www.freedomfilmfest.komas.org or call KOMAS at 03 79685415.
