We are indeed very happy to invite one/two representatives from your organization to participate at this one day workshop on March 3rd from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Shah’s Village Hotel in Petaling Jaya.
The theme of the campaign is: “One Day Off for Migrant Domestic Workersâ€.
The focus theme for this workshop will be: “Reduce Gender based Violence – Give One Day Off for Migrant Domestic Workers.â€
As a follow up to the very successful domestic workers summit held in Colombo in 2003, Caram -Asia has developed a campaign kit. Tenaganita has been chosen as one of the member partners who will facilitate the testing of this campaign kit.
The objective of the workshop is to test the campaign kit through the above theme and recognize gaps and weaknesses of the kit so that it will be improved before the Kit is printed fro distribution and development of the campaign.
We will introduce the campaign kit and have a capacity building workshop based on the above theme. This capacity building is for domestic workers, various organizations, union leaders, migrant associations and community groups.
This workshop will be an opportunity to share your experiences and thoughts, to explore ways to develop the campaign and create opportunities for actions and working together to protect the rights of domestic workers and reduce gender based violence.
We hope to see you at the workshop on 3rd March at Shah’s Village Hotel in Petaling Jaya. Please confirm your participation with Glorene or Shavita at 03 2691 3691 or 2697 3671. You may also fill in the reply slip and fax or email us.
Thank You.
Glorene Dass
Campaign Coordinator
