Tun Dr. Mahathir’ a war criminal in Malaysia – Kampung Medan

We followed with great interest the formation of the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission and the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal encompassing many eminent personalities and jurists and with noble motives to stop war crimes. We are however embarrassed that this august body should be lead by Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamed for the following reasons:-

1. It would be six (6) years on March 8th 2007 when all of a sudden and out of the blue one day, peaceful Malaysia witnessed the killings of six (6) and 100 over innocent Malaysians of ethnic Indian origin were seriously injured (Note: Kindly refer to our official website www.policewatchmalaysia.com for graphic pictures, letters and memorandums on this tragedy).

2. According to the official countdown in our aforesaid official website as at today it has been 2,167 days since this tragedy and there has been pin drop silence.

3. Despite scores of appeals there has been no Royal Commission of Inquiry held, no Inquest and also no Parlimentary White Paper released as was promised by Tun Dr. Mahathir and neither has any criminal been properly prosecuted for those serious crimes.

4. These peace loving victims who were living peacefully in the working class neighbourhood of Kampung Medan were suddenly attacked, unprovoked by a mysterious Malay Muslim mob from outside Kampung Medan.

5. The International Herald Tribune newsreport on 12/3/2001 reported that a group of policemen remained silent and watched quietly while one Muniratnam, a member of the said minority Malaysian Indian Community was beaten up to death right before their eyes. In fact the police also stopped one Parameswary Batumalai (28) and a dozen other villagers from helping / going to the rescue of the said Muniratnam (ref: International Herald Tribune, 2001).

6. We made an urgent appeal to Tun Dr.Mahathir as the then Prime Minister to intervene and immediately stop this unprecedented violence. Tun Dr.Mahathir however allowed this violence to continue for fifteen days in a row from 8/3/2001 to 23/3/2001.

7. With a complete media blackout Tun Dr.Mahathir was successful in making this incident turn out to be “racial clashes” when it was in fact a racial attack.

8. If it was racial clashes, how come almost all the dead and the injured were on one side i.e. the ethnic minority Malaysian Indians. We have also questioned Tun Dr. Mahathir that if he could not contain this violence in a mere 10 square kilometer area how then would he protect the whole of Malaysia? In short there was a full scale cover up by Tun Dr.Mahathir.

9. These 100 over victims were also never compensated.

10. Our police report dated 7/4/2001 and scores of the other victim’s police reports were never investigated.

11. To add insult to injury the Malaysian Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) has filed RM20,000.00 as the Bill of costs when a victim (applicant) was unsuccessful in his attempt to apply to the Kuala Lumpur High Court to order an Open Inquiry into this tragedy (Note: On Suhakam’s application this said civil suit was earlier dismissed ab initio without even Suhakam having to reply to the victim applicant’s very serious allegations of state sponsored crime).

12. Tun Dr. Mahathir has in effect got off scot-free after having been behind this “mini genocide” right at his doorsteps.

13. Tun Dr. Mahathir’s hands are still soiled with blood from the war crimes in Kampung Medan (but during peacetime).

14. Up to now there are no records of Tun Dr. Mahathir having condemned this violence and/or tendering an apology for what had happened.

15. Malaysians especially of ethnic minority Indian origin have neither forgiven nor forgotten this Tun Dr. Mahathir’s worst case of human rights violations in Malaysia (but which got the least attention).

16. But today Tun Dr. Mahathir has gone international and has led condemnation of war criminals in other countries when his own hands are blood stained in his very own country.

Tun Dr. Mahathir, we are ashamed of you leading this august body. Only leaders with clean hands deserve to lead this body. Please make way for a leader with clean hands. (Note: “He who goes to equity must go with clean hands”).

Thank You,
Yours Faithfully.

In relation to the suing of the UK government by representatives of the indian community of Malaysia, I personally think that is shooting yourselves in the foot and barking up the wrong tree.

Firstly, with due respect to the sad marginalisation, discrimination, cultural desecration and racial attacks, all these sufferings should not have happened, but as it has, should be addressed, victims compensated, and new initiatives done to prevent such a thing from happening again. (and many more ways)

However why do you sue the UK government when it is the UK government you should seek help from, and request that they pressure the UMNO led Malaysian government to face up to its negligence. The one you should sue is the Malaysian government! The UK government has gone a huge step in race relations and respecting and multiculturalism, it has looked at itself deep in reflection and is no longer the former colonial masters of the past. You should seek them for help instead of finding someone else to blame. So what if you get compensated? Assume that each Malaysian indian received a their fair share of 1 million pound sterling each, that does not do anything to your depleted rights in Malaysia, that does not change the way the Malays see you, that does not change the government’s irresponsibility towards its minority groups.

Also, if you are suing on behalf of every indian in Malaysia, i beg to differ, there are may indians who do not suffer the same financial plight as those who are legitimately in need of help, the poorest of the poor, and without education and political standing. There are many succesful indians in Malaysia who are well off and do not benefit as compensation.
What I’m saying is your claim for all the indians are incorrect, and might be the setback to your claim.

And also, if you are going after the UK government or to anyone, you should be uniting with all minority groups in Malaysia. Even though it is true that many indians suffer worst than other minority groups, that does not mean that those other people are better off in their rights and are equally as marginalised. The reason why some still live better off, is because of their own hard work and the help from relatives and people of within their own ethnic community. But their rights are as diminished just as yours are! So I think that it is rather non inclusive of you to take action on your own, representing only a select group among a larger group, who all suffer the same plight, but at varying degrees.

Indeed the Kg Medan tragedy is a sad chapter in Malaysian history. And it is even sad when the government doesnt recognise that it took place and take steps to address the issue, go on a fact finding mission, find out the truth etc.

If one were to be suing, it should be all minorities against the Malaysian government for its neglect. And not against the UK government. I personally want to see you successful in your campaign against marginalisation, but the way I see the representatives handling it, its pathetic!

    valenntino ,

*atleast gangsterism(Malaysian Indians full time job) will come down a great deal*

Well said but I think marginalisation, discrimination, cultural desecration and racial attacks on Malaysian Indians is the one lead to gangsterism.

i can see that the indian is trying to shift their burden to others. How could u say indian is being marginalised ? Why the chinese can stand on their own feet but not indian ? it is because the chinese is united.they help each other.take ananda krishnan as your example.dont take kalimuthu as your example.

    Lawyer Utaya,
Is it not better to fight with a small group of NGO’s office bearers rather than involving the masses. Anything can happen, even the police can set up “boggymen” to disturb and then “shoot”

Publish a list of greviences of the community. Give suggestions for implementations – practical suggestions. Encourage all the existing indian businesses, NGO’s, the religious bodies to join force to improve the downtrodden in the communitity. Vent your anger at the existing policical parties who claim to represent the Indians. So many things can be done rather than go against the laws. Do not compare with other countries with only one race and religion.

We have had racial clashes and if there is a repeat we will go back another 30 years. The Chinese do not worry – they can servive anywhere – their buying power is enough to give employment to each and every chinese in Malaysia. The Malays have the Government to support them. The rich Indians like you do not have to worry – when you are jailed your wife and children will not suffer. The poor participant in the rally suffers – especially the wife and children. Visit the home of those arrested by the police and you will see the wailing wifes and children – those missing work and their earnings.

Yesterday I saw on TV the beautiful sight of lights in Batu Caves Temples, yet a few hours later it was turned into a battlefield with a bus blown up! Why turn a temple grounds into a political areana. Why drag God in?

My advice to all so called leaders – please do not drag in the masses on the promise of millions. Get the NGO’s, Indian based parties, temples and meet the Government. Please place yourself in the place of the Government and decide on the best course of actions – rembember the Government of the day was formed on the majority vote of one communitity. True Many UMNO members may have won becouse of Indian votes but all MIC members won because of Malay votes. You can replace the MIC with an Indian Opposition, but without the MIC in the Government the poor Indians will be far far worse and they will have to take to the streets every day, get arrested and their families starve. If that day comes you professionals will seek permanent resident=ce in Australia!

Change the Government Policy from Inside – talk Talk and Talk, present viable ideas, get your self elected, learn the skills and climb the economic lader, teach good values to the young -(not street demonstrations)and have faith in God. As you celebrate Deepavali – the Good will overcome the evil.

    Thank you.

    A fellow Malaysian

WHY did MAY 13 occured ? – simple , The Malay’s were virtualy marginalized and remained poor then – but they had government in thier hand and people like Mahathir who came up with the ” Malays Delima ” and hence May 13 happent – and things for the Malays were never same again !!

Rancangan malaysia 1,2 ,3,4 …. all for who – Bumiputra – it seems it will exsist and continue uintill all Bumipeutra are supported and upgraded and updated financialy socialy and mentaly.

Bodoh punya gov Malay leaders who had the biggest mouth in the world to fight over non islamic nations treating Islamic minorities in thier contries with un-equal financial distributains and unjustice priorityzation – but own contry they do the same thing !! CUCI bontot sendiri dulu lah – dasar bodoh. then talk about ZIONIST or what ever grand mother story !!

  10. 10 Mazlan Nov 28th, 2007 at 11:31 am

    Thank you.

Yesterday Datuk Denis Jeyasuria spoke on TV 2. Being a MIC member, he was very careful, but he agreed that there must be avenue for expression. There can be a controlled form of protest – by a responsible group . The walk by the Lawyers was good – the participants were identified, they were orderily although the Police put so many obstacles.
The M P’s (both BN & others)must be given some leeway to discuss in parliament and not toe the party line all the time. The party line should only be followed in the voting and by members of the Cabinet. The call by Nazri to sack Devamany from MIC for putting forward the concern of the people that the Govt. has not done enough, is too harsh. As an MP one should speak out. When Nazri says there were 20,000 troublemakers, is he not undermining a community- a crime in this country? Were the Berseh and the Lawyers also troublemakers.
In this country there is enough for everyone – seek and punish the greedy and the corupt , stive for excellence, avoid communial politics. As Datuk Jayesuria says, classify people as hardcore poor, poor, urban poor etc instead of on racial lines.

Mr Kubugaa you are indeed an articulate writer and thinker. Your suggestion that all minorities plight be attended to is indeed a brilliant piece of wit and thinking. Mr Kubugaa if you have balls please be an advocate for such minorities and put all your brilliant comments and suggestions into action. stop talking cock. Action is great. Again your suggestion that HINDRAF claim for aggreivement and injustice borne by the Indians concerned should be only for a particular minority smacks of you being not one with the poor downtrodden Indians and is probably ashamed of being associated with this struggle.Mr Kubugaa you are just as dull as Mr Dulljit Singh who commented in the Sunday Star 28/11/07 that he would advise all Punjabis not to support the actions of HINDRAF. There are Hindus as well as Muslims among the Punjabis who would support another Indian in distress any time.HINDRAF ZINDABAD.

List of racial discriminations in Malaysia, practiced by government as well as government agencies. This list is an open secret. Best verified by government itself because it got the statistics.

This list is not in the order of importance, that means the first one on the list is not the most important and the last one on the list does not mean least important.

This list is a common knowledge to a lot of Malaysians, especially those non-malays (Chinese, Ibans, Kadazans, Orang Asli, Tamils, etc) who were being racially discriminated.

Figures in this list are estimates only and please take it as a guide only. Government of Malaysia has the most correct figures. Is government of Malaysia too ashamed to publish their racist acts by publishing racial statistics?

This list cover a period of about 50 years since independence (1957).

    List of racial discriminations (Malaysia):

    (1) Out of all the 5 major banks, only one bank is multi-racial, the rest are controlled by malays

    (2) 99% of Petronas directors are malays

    (3) 3% of Petronas employees are Chinese

    (4) 99% of 2000 Petronas gasoline stations are owned by malays

    (5) 100% all contractors working under Petronas projects must be bumis status

    (6) 0% of non-malay staffs is legally required in malay companies. But there must be 30% malay staffs in Chinese companies

    (7) 5% of all new intake for government army, nurses, polices, is non-malays

    (8) 2% is the present Chinese staff in Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), drop from 40% in 1960

    (9) 2% is the percentage of non-malay government servants in Putrajaya. But malays make up 98%

    (10) 7% is the percentage of Chinese government servants in the whole government (in 2004), drop from 30% in 1960

    (11) 95% of government contracts are given to malays

    (12) 100% all business licensees are controlled by malay government e.g. Approved Permits, Taxi Permits, etc

    (13) 80% of the Chinese rice millers in Kedah had to be sold to malay controlled Bernas in 1980s. Otherwise, life is make difficult for Chinese rice millers

    (14) 100 big companies set up, managed and owned by Chinese Malaysians were taken over by government, and later managed by malays since 1970s e.g. MISC, UMBC, UTC, etc

    (15) At least 10 Chinese owned bus companies (throughout Malaysia, throughout 40 years) had to be sold to MARA or other malay transport companies due to rejection by malay authority to Chinese application for bus routes and rejection for their application for new buses

    (16) 2 Chinese taxi drivers were barred from driving in Johor Larkin bus station. There are about 30 taxi drivers and 3 are Chinese in October 2004. Spoiling taxi club properties was the reason given

    (17) 0 non-malays are allowed to get shop lots in the new Muar bus station (November 2004)

    (18) 8000 billion ringgit is the total amount the government channeled to malay pockets through ASB, ASN, MARA, privatisation of government agencies, Tabung Haji etc, through NEP over 34 years period

    (19) 48 Chinese primary schools closed down since 1968 – 2000

    (20) 144 Indian primary schools closed down since 1968 – 2000

    (21) 2637 malay primary schools built since 1968 – 2000

    (22) 2.5% is government budget for Chinese primary schools. Indian schools got only 1%, malay schools got 96.5%

    (23) While a Chinese parent with RM1000 salary (monthly) cannot get school-text-book-loan, a malay parent with RM2000 salary is eligible

    (24) 10 all public universities vice chancellors are malays

    (25) 5% – the government universities lecturers of non-malay origins had been reduced from about 70% in 1965 to only 5% in 2004

    (26) Only 5% is given to non-malays for government scholarships over 40 years

    (27) 0 Chinese or Indians were sent to Japan and Korea under “Look East Policy”

    (28) 128 STPM Chinese top students could not get into the course that they aspired e.g. Medicine (in 2004)

    (29) 10% place for non-bumi students for MARA science schools beginning from year 2003, but only 7% are filled. Before that it was 100% malays

    (30) 50 cases whereby Chinese and Indian Malaysians, are beaten up in the National Service program in 2003

    (31) 25% is Malaysian Chinese population in 2004, drop from 45% in 1957

    (32) 7% is the present Malaysian Indians population (2004), a drop from 12% in 1957

    (33) 2 million Chinese Malaysians had emigrated to overseas since 40 years ago

    (34) 0.5 million Indian Malaysians had emigrated to overseas

    (35) 3 million Indonesians had migrated into Malaysia and became Malaysian citizens with bumis status

    (36) 600000 are the Chinese and Indian Malaysians with red IC and were rejected repeatedly when applying for citizenship for 40 years. Perhaps 60% of them had already passed away due to old age. This shows racism of how easily Indonesians got their citizenship compare with the Chinese and Indians

    (37) 5% – 15% discount for a malay to buy a house, regardless whether the malay is poor or rich

    (38) 2% is what Chinese new villages get compare with 98% of what malay villages got for rural development budget

    (39) 50 road names (at least) had been changed from Chinese names to other names

    (40) 1 Dewan Gan Boon Leong (in Malacca) was altered to other name (e.g. Dewan Serbaguna or sort) when it was being officially used for a few days. Government try to shun Chinese names. This racism happened in around year 2000 or sort

    (41) 0 churches/temples were built for each housing estate. But every housing estate got at least one mosque/surau built

    (42) 3000 mosques/surau were built in all housing estates throughout Malaysia since 1970. No churches, no temples are required to be built in housing estates

    (43) 1 Catholic church in Shah Alam took 20 years to apply to be constructed. But told by malay authority that it must look like a factory and not look like a church. Still not yet approved in 2004

    (44) 1 publishing of Bible in Iban language banned (in 2002)

    (45) 0 of the government TV stations (RTM1, RTM2, TV3) are directors of non-malay origins

    (46) 30 government produced TV dramas and films always showed that the bad guys had Chinese face, and the good guys had malay face. You can check it out since 1970s. Recent years, this tendency becomes less

    (47) 10 times, at least, malays (especially Umno) had threatened to massacre the Chinese Malaysians using May 13 since 1969

    (48) 20 constituencies won by DAP would not get funds from the government to develop. Or these Chinese majority constituencies would be the last to be developed

    (49) 100 constituencies (parliaments and states) had been racistly re-delineated so Chinese voters were diluted that Chinese candidates, particularly DAP candidates lost in election since 1970s

    (50) Only 3 out of 12 human rights items are ratified by Malaysia government since 1960

    (51) 0 – elimination of all forms of racial discrimination (UN Human Rights) is not ratified by Malaysia government since 1960s

    (52) 20 reported cases whereby malay ambulance attendances treated Chinese patients inhumanely, and malay government hospital staffs purposely delay attending to Chinese patients in 2003. Unreported cases may be 200

    (53) 50 cases each year whereby Chinese, especially Chinese youths being beaten up by malay youths in public places. We may check at police reports provided the police took the report, otherwise there will be no record

    (54) 20 cases every year whereby Chinese drivers who accidentally knocked down malays were seriously assaulted or killed by malays

    (55) 12% is what ASB/ASN got per annum while banks fixed deposit is only about 3.5% per annum

There are hundreds more racial discriminations in Malaysia to add to this list of “colossal” racism. It is hope that the victims of racism will write in to expose racism.

Malaysia government should publish statistics showing how much malays had benefited from the “special rights” of malays and at the same time tell the statistics of how much other minority races are being discriminated.

Hence, the responsibility lies in the Malaysia government itself to publish unadulterated statistics of racial discrimination.

If the Malaysia government hides the statistics above, then there must be some evil doings, immoral doings, shameful doings and sinful doings, like the Nazi, going on onto the non-malays of Malaysia.

Civilized nation, unlike evil Nazi, must publish statistics to show its treatment on its minority races. This is what Malaysia must publish.

We are asking for the publication of the statistics showing how “implementation of special rights of malays” had inflicted colossal racial discrimination onto non-malays.

Human Book, there are lies, damn lies and well .. there are statistics. I can give you my stats to support my point of view.

Those who prefer to look at the bad side of things will always find it, it’s that simple.

Even in a brightly colored room, you’ll find tons of black (if that’s what you’re looking for).

Yes, the government is guilty of many things, however, playing the race card wouldn’t bring us anywhere.

An ethnic clashes like in Bosnia will bring us 50 years back.

i am a teacher in secondary sch for the past 15 years. I my school, every friday from 7am – 8.30am, there will be bacaan yasin programs for the malay muslims. Where else non malay teachers suppose to take care non malay students. Name of the program : Pandai-pandailah handle sendiri.

Thousands of PIBG and other funds from sch used for malay religios programs. Very little (few RM) or none for the non malays students.

To Malaysian govt: Stop berpura-pura nak eratkan hubungan antara kaum. U buat macam ini pun, orang nak muntah bila dengar u punya hipocracy.

U nak cakap orang india malas, sebab tu tak maju, habis orang melayu yang diberi segala macam hak istimewa sejak 50 tahun dahulu pun tak maju-maju jugak. pemalas nak mampuslahtu! Cermin muka u dululah.

Thank you all for sharing your views. ‘

human book’, you have done a great job of providing info on the statistics of some of the wrong doings by the govt. The actual list must be almost endless. The govt is completely responsible for all our racial problems and discontentment today. It is also responsible for foresaking some cases of the needy poor Malays.

You can change anything but the facts and figures will always tell true picture. I govt has no credibility and it has no balls to publish the facts and figures. I dare the govt to publish the stats.

    Sdr Editor!

It is good to have everything justified and assessed as by a ghandian attitude like when he offered muslim prime minister post to Jinnah for not dividing India into Pakistan. The hardwork and contribution of indians can only be weighed by non partisan, non racist, and figures of ownership in Malaysia. Plz at once everybody tone down to give fair comments and support the the other races not your own.Believe in god whatever happens is for the good decided by almighty and not to be spoiled by self interested dominative attitudes of the few.

well..when everybody writes..everybody got angry..pls read the constitutions..why all indians and chinese r still here? All of you either don’t understand or just do not want to understand..and do not read or just do not want to read..on how your grandfather or great grandfaher got their citizenship and why there is ’special’ treatment for the bumiputra. While in Indonesia and Thailand you are not even allowed to keep your ethnis names.

Even the peninsular was known as Semenanjung Tanah Melayu. You should be thankful..for not being a begger in India or China…
pls travel oversea and experience what i mean. For those who travel oversea will know how fortunate they are as Malaysian. The Indian and Chinese millionaires feel they are proud to be malaysian. Pls ask them.

You all got very good points about event going on lately. Why can’t we see each other as Malaysian, rather than Malay, chinese, indian or orang asli? Obviously this government has did a hell of a good job in dividing all of us.

  23. 23 The Great Dec 22nd, 2007 at 9:05 pm

    Hi everyone,

just to pen down my view here. the gov says that Malaysia is like our home and all malaysian are like brothers and sister, and the ruling gov are like ours father and mother. then why must they sideline indian and chinese, why must the gov use anak tiri tactic. till today i still dont understand that all indian or chinese has contributed the same as the malays to the nation growth, but when come to the sharing of the fruits the gov plays the anak tiri cards. to all malays out there we (indian and Chinese) dont hate you guys, but we hate the Ruling Malay Goverment, and we dont want the gov to remove the bumiputra privileged, but do the same things to us, i dont see any reason why they cannot do that, at the end the whole contry will have stronger growth and richer nation.

    tks

Human Book, there are lies, damn lies and well .. there are statistics. I can give you my stats to support my point of view.

Those who prefer to look at the bad side of things will always find it, it’s that simple.

Even in a brightly colored room, you’ll find tons of black (if that’s what you’re looking for).

Yes, the government is guilty of many things, however, playing the race card wouldn’t bring us anywhere.

An ethnic clashes like in Bosnia will bring us 50 years back.

HOTEL MAYA. Pls have your version of the statstic, please. We then can be able to ascertain the facts and compare. Soon Or immediate, please .

i don’t understand why the indians cause so much fuss about their rights and wrong. They borned in Malaysia, grew up with the Malays and Chinese….why fight the government, demanding unreasonable claim? indians came to helped or worked in plantation, chinese in minings. Why the gap now in their wealth? don’t blame the government or malays. i agreed that malays have all the rights, because we as the other race live in their country (Tanah Melayu). Why bother with all this clash about ethnic, no point arguing, you live here you follow their rules. What can you do, sue the government? be wise, you can never win in Malaysia law, not because you have no case, just that they control the law. Live in peace and harmony…would you want to see another ace riots? Blood? Guts and bodies on the street where u live.
In my form 5 class consist of 33 pupils, only 5 indians, 10 chinese, rest is Malays. i was in the lowest rank class in my school, all 3 indians failed their SPM, now they either have no job, joined the gangster or work as an office boy. 8 chinese failed, all 8 of them are businessman, doing successfully. the 2 other chinese who pass went on to uni and be lawyer and accountant. i am one of the 8. i am doing successfully, without even the help of the government no spm, no certificate. my turnover is over millions every year since i went into business. i did not blame anyone for failing he Bahasa test in SPM, i don’t even bother to speak Bahasa, you know why? because it doesn’t help you earn money, it wouldn’t help to succeed….it’s a useless language in the world. am i a proud malaysian, i can tell you i am not. am i going to sue the british for bringing chinese into Malaya, i am not. you know why? Because it’s no point crying over a spilled milk. Work smart. Don’t listen to those who wants a riots, in the end u would be in jail and malays would be laughing.
i think that’s the reason between indians and chinese, they don’t use their wits to the fullest, they are smarter than the malays but they don’t know how to out smart them. malays they are parasites, you know why, because this is in their blood. MALAYS DILEMMA. that’s how the Mahathir teach the malay. you live in Malaysia, if your company earn money, you need to have a chairman…and he have to be BUMIPUTRA.
Indians friend please be wise, you can’t win in this country. don’t fight the government. no matter what you do, you never ever win. also there is no such thing as ethnic cleansing, that’s utter rubbish. Think of ISA….look after your generation, teach your kids when they are young, teach them abuot money.
U know what, i don’t hate malays, they are the nicest people i have ever known. It’s their government or politics who made them parasites. i love them as human.

finally look at my english, you think i am graduate? you don’t need scools, SPm or Uni to be rich. work smart, think smart…bless you all indian friends. Remember motivate the younger generation, not create hate

Come on guys be real la, whether u are a citizen of Malaysia, Britain, US or France, the Indians will always be Indian, the Chinese will always be Chinese and the Malay will always be Malay. There is no such thing is the Malaysian race, but only Malaysian citizenship and country.

Don’t be so naive, the Government only want to promote unity in our mindset as a Malaysian citizens. Is that too difficult to understand. The best & the majority of businessmen, solicitors & doctors are non-Malay. And there is nothing wrong with that.

I would like to agree with Nelson’s point of view, we should respect Malays as they deserved. It was their ancestor who shred their blood against the Portugese, the Dutch & the Britain invasion. Majority of Malay warriors murdered, killed to fight against Communism & Nippon. Where were the Tanah Melayu Indians, the Tanah Melayu Chinese when Malay are busy fighting for their land.

So, don’t u think the Malay deserve better at least in the constitution, Please learn your history, learn the Malaysian constitution, ask your previous-previous leaders, y and y they agree with the constitution…

Let us be a united Malaysian citizen and….Don’t u guys ever wonder, there is probably a mysterious force or an invinsible hand (aka double agent/secret intelligence from the west) trying to ruin our country!!

Common sense la….More civil wars = more guns = more money for the gun producer..Malaysian are not stupid rite…so stop street demonstration & violence.

Malays will never again see their indian neighbours the same as before.Watch out you low kasta race!

  29. 29 Joe Fernandez@Fernz Jan 21st, 2008 at 1:20 pm

According to the stories making the rounds, the mysterious mob were composed of illegals from Madura in Indonesia. These people have a habit of creating trouble wherever they go.

  30. 30 Joe Fernandez@Fernz Jan 21st, 2008 at 6:24 pm

It’s not right for Noah to say that the Malays deserve better in the Constitution. A Constitution is colour-blind.

The concept of Malay nationalism is a colonial British creation.

According to a recent DNA study by USM, the great majority of the “Malays” are not Malays at all. They are in fact recent immigrants to the Peninsula from the neighbouring islands, the Indian sub-continent and Cambodia.

  31. 31 Kamban Jan 21st, 2008 at 8:19 pm

Jonny , wht do you mean “we live in their country” ? You were born underwater of Melaka Straits ? You sound like a sore looser ! Luckily you were not born bf 1957 , else you say the same thing to British . If you are a looser dun expect other millions to be loosers too.

Noa , wht do u mean “Let us be a united Malaysian citizen” when fundamental rights aren’t preserved . And how do you know “y they agree with the constitution” . Do you really know wht actually they agreed? There were lots of amendments versus wht actually was agreed . Set aside constitution , at least do you know wht is global human rights?
You are right that “Indians will always be Indian, the Chinese will always be Chinese and the Malay will always be Malay” . Infact dogs are always dogs and loosers are always loosers .
Dozens of Chinese were killed in Indonesia …. why it happened ? So for Noa and Jonny it’s ok , cos they are migrated minority !

  32. 32 TRUE THINGS Jan 24th, 2008 at 12:02 pm

Hey guyz, all tink first.those malays r saying tat there are ta citizen of malaysia. But their origin is not from malaysia.they come here as a lanun, they r bugis people.Founder of malaysia is parameswara who found melaka.actually he is a indian who then become malay later.his name is parameswara, tats an indian name.wats tat u 1 2 talk more.be fair, share everything with others.try 2 think bout statistic given by human book.then ow can our generation try to cultivate love between others,if this things r hapening infront of them.i didn hate malays.most of my frens r malays.but malays pls tink.wat will u do if tis discrimination hapens 2 u n indian r living more better wit bumiputra concept.wont u get angry?sure u will.so be fair.lets us share all things 2gether as malaysian

  33. 33 jonny Jan 25th, 2008 at 12:28 am

Losers’ fight a lose war, with he malaysian government. if there is better opportunity elsewhere why stick to the same old discriminate country. we are born to be able to chat , work play freely, why stay with those government who like to control everything in our lives? Why dozens chinese killed, well it would happened to indians too if things don’t go the government way.

    Jonny ,
i define ‘loser’ as those whom give up and not those whom lose and never give up trying . Thomas Edison failed 1000 times , was he a loser? How about Ganges Khan ?
How long a ’silver spoon’ feeding community could, last ? Globalization will take it’s sweep years to come . Petronas’s petrol inventory will deplete in years to come . Then wht they gonna do ? Comparing with self feeding community ….. We’ve strength and hard work but dont have opportunity .
The nation developed vastly , so many mega projects, funny space project, expensive submarine purchase, plus NEP….. good but dont you think it’s part of our tax money? It’s part of the sweat of our parents too? Are “they” the only ones paying tax?
Do you know , TunDM said Chinese are the most in terms of tax payment ?
You guys kept saying “their” country ! Do you know the origin of the 5 Hangs’(hang Jebat,Tua…etc) ? Do you know the founder of Melaka? Do you know which King landed in Lembah Bujang ? He named it as ‘Kadaram’ which later became Kedah . They also named the land as ‘malaiyagam’ (means land of hills and mountains in Tamil) . ‘Malai’ later became Melayu .
Jonny and Noa , face the facts ! You dont have to go down to streets ; you dont have to organize a NGO ; you dont have to write a protest note to Gomen . All you need to do is influence your family,relatives,friends,pen-pals,e-pals,those you know and those never met and etc to vote against BN! Is that hard?
Is voting for opposition is a violent act ? Is it offence under Law ?
You dont have to struggle downtown to send protest message , but your voting will do the job for you!
Let’s join force ! At least for the sake of our children’s future !

  36. 36 ANOTSOLUCKYMALAY Apr 8th, 2008 at 12:06 pm

I am defined as a Malay, look like a typical Malay though not pure bred. Chinese, Indian & Arab bubur cacar sort off somewhere along the line. Was born and grew up in M’sia. Did my schooling from std 1 till SPM. With 11 kids schooling, dad was also supporting his nieces and nephews who lost their dad at a very young age and dad’s income was about M$2,000. All our school expenses, books, uniform, shoes and everything else were bought by our dad. Nothing came free from anyone though we will always be regarded as Malays all throughout our life. Being Malays supposedly comes with the special previleges! My SPM result was quite okay but I guess i was again being unlucky as I was not offered a place anywhere in the local universities, couldn’t even get a job as a clerk in the government. My father just couldnt afford to send me to the very few private colleges which existed then so a few of us in the family had to make sacrifices. Started my working life as a legal clerk earning a gross salary of M$180 at the age of 18. It was 1982/1983. My father had retired from the govt by then.

I can understand the frustration of not being treated the way one should especially in one’s own country but it’s not fair to blame the Malays presumably Muslims for the wrongdoings of the few “Malay elites” who had the power to do something but didnt unless it benefits them and their cronies in one way or another.

Sorry for my Form 5 English!
