At the rate the talks are going, it looks like the Malaysia -US FTA will be finalised by end of March. This will be done without addressing the concerns raised by the Coalition Againts FTA or anyone for the matter. Datuk Rafidah Aziz is saying not to worry as the government will not give in on the rights and welfare of the Malaysian people. This is not true as contadicting statement from the government and also the US trade representatives seem to reflect that there is a lot for us to lose.Â
The negotiations are moving very fast so we have to also move fast in order to stop this economic colonialisation by the US
THE NEXT ROUND OF FTA TALKS THAT IS THE 5TH ROUND OF TALKS WILL BE HELD NEXT WEEK 5/2/2007- 9/2/2007 IN SABAH, IN A RESORT , 40 KILOMETERES FROM KOTA KINABALU.
Thus to show our protest against the US Malaysia FTA, there will be protest on the 7/2/2007.
